I booked with Days Inn because it was supposed to be pet friendly. There was no mention of a 200 dollar fee until afterwards. Apparently they have specific rooms meant for pets. the company I booked through had no mention of it, so I assumed it applied to the whole building. Otherwise nice hotel, an average days inn
Got a decent deal for this DI Downtown Ottawa and decided to give it a try. The location couldnt get any better. Right downtown and walking distance to most of the downtown things you may want to do. Plenty of restaurants, attractions and shopping. The building is decades old and from out side looks run down. The parking $10 a day with in out privileges is a good deal as well. The check-in was quick. The stairs are more quicker than the elevator. The room was reasonably sized and had a small TV and two double beds. The chair with an ottoman was forced fitted. The beds have nice night reading LED lights. The bed comfortable and pillows were plenty and perfect- not too hard or soft. The bathroom clean and sink outside which in a way is good. Got cool lights around the mirror. The bathroom a bit run down, but nothing really bad. Most of the interior seems to have been upgraded recently. The most annoying thing was probably the room next door or a heating unit on the roof. We were in the fourth floor and whatever that unit was made a noise that loud.
The employee's at this establishment are extremely helpful and friendly! The price was a little high but the service offered was impeccable! When we were checking out the line was a little long, they should come out with an automated checkout process or kiosk for people in a rush but apart from that we had a great time. Also very close to major bus lines and it's a close walk to CF Rideau
Listed as 2 star but closer to 3 or 3.5 star. There's are suites on floors 2-4 and motel style rooms on floor 1, so know what you're getting into. We stayed in the suites with a view of Rideau Rd. Hotel is 10-15 min walk from Parliament Hill and associated attractions (including Byward Market), so super convenient to leave the car behind and explore the core without worrying about parking. Room itself was spacious and clean. We had a double Queen and with three adults and one child (age 6) we never felt cramped. Room was kept meticulously clean.Staff overall were friendly and knowledgeable. We would recommend this hotel for those looking for a nice enough spot to sleep that is close to the action!
Really a bad hotel to reside in. The front desk staff...one of them who was named something starting with "A"... Was really really rude to us... And ultimate level of negative.. She was like making is feel as if we were her slave... Really a bad service... Really a very old style of rooms... Just one elevator for a floor and the room allocated for us was tooo far from. Elevator... Doesn't have a water dispenser... But the bed and the washroom are pretty descent.. Can give the room as a whole as 4/10... Front desk staff and their behavior as1/10..
