I took my mother for mothers day brunch and everything from the food to the service was excellent. We had two different types of eggs benedict and I can honestly say its the best eggs benny Ive ever had. The sauce was super authentic, the biscuits just right and the eggs were perfection. Even my Mom who is really picky about her eggs felt the same. Looking forward to coming back to try their dinner menu.
Went for brunch with some friends over the weeeknd, and overall it was a nice experience. The decor is chic and it wasnt very busy. One comment would be that our waitress didnt seem very knowledgeable about the brunch menu (I know they recently just started serving brunch) so one of the dishes that was ordered was not at all what was described. However, it was still good! The coffee/lattes we ordered were excellent. As for food, it was nice, however portions are on the small side. I ordered the crab cakes, and they were nice but the tartar sauce that was provided wasnt substantial, it could have been nice to have more on the plate. I would recommend you try them out though!
Incredible! I live in the neighbourhood and pass this wonderful place on a daily basis! Ive always intrigued what lay inside. Now - I can tell you - that its nothing short of fabulous! From the moment you are greeted at the door, through the (in our case) 5 course meal, the service is engaging, insightful and attentive. The only picture I took, was of the menu - the morning after, because serving after serving, you get lost in the details and simply want to immerse yourself in the sights and smells of what is presented before you. It was all wonderful. The trout, the duck, the beef Wellington and others were artistically plated. If you are looking for something special - this is the place for you! While we enjoyed a bottle, from a very good selection of wines, Im tempted to simply go back, based on the cocktail menu alone, to sit at the bar and enjoy!
This is my new favorite restaurant in Ottawa. The food and service absolutely blew us away. I loved the richness of the flavors and the gradual flow of the dishes from light to heavy proteins. We will be back for sure!
