We had a very good first experience with Mr. Rooter. Receptionist was very clear in how the call would proceed and to my surprise there was no initial fee for the inspection. Other companies charge you even before they set a foot in your home. When Jason arrived he presented himself and we went to inspect the sink upstairs. It happened to be a minor thing, but most companies still charge you no matter what. When I asked how much it was, Jason said no to worry about it, that it was a minor thing and just take it as a courtesy call. This never happens. They left me with a good professional and ethical impression. Next time we need any plumbing Mr. Rooter for sure has my business.
Upon return from vacation, I noticed a small leak on the main water valve so I started researching plumbers in my area and looking at the reviews. As I chose Mr. Rooter, I went ahead on Tuesday and scheduled an appointment for Saturday between 10am and noon. Mr. Rooter never showed up. The water needed to be turned off by the park management and that was scheduled accordingly and done on time. As I called, I was informed that the plumber was at a bigger job and won't be able to honour my appointment until much later. Wasted my entire day waiting. The decision was made to re-schedule the appointment on Sunday between 2pm and 4pm. (water is still off). As the water needed to be turned back on by the park management, it was also scheduled accordingly. Finally, the plumber showed up around 3:30 pm on Sunday. The plumber proceeded in getting me an estimate to replaced the leaky main valve which I thought it was quite expensive ($300+). As I had no choice, I went ahead and approved the estimate. He then proceeded to do the work. The plumber cut off the copper at a different location and installed a new valve. As I am not an expert, I did not ask any questions right away. The plumber started picking up his stuff and that is when I asked if the old valve will be removed and the plumber told me, "use this new one from now on". I told him the old valve was were the leak was...as per the original request...he then said "My bad" and started the work again removing the new valve (wasted) and removed the old valve and installed a new one. On a positive note, the work was finally done after guidance from me - work was done right and clean. Unfortunately, as I had more plumbing work I needed to discuss for an estimate and ran into some of the above noted issues, I am debating the use of Mr. Rooter for the future work. Hopefully, Mr. Rooter will address these issues and contact me.
Great first experience with Mr. Rooter. We got a quote for installing new toilets in our house the next day we called. Ryan came installing 3 toilets in our house. They call you before the technician arrived, which we appreciated. Ryan was kind and professional. He was kind enough to bring the new toilets upstairs (we have a 3 storey house) and bring the old ones downstairs. The job was done in only 2 hours. Everything was cleaned up afterwards and we inspected the work together at the end. Really happy with the service from the beginning to the end.
I tried to unclog my mother's drain for 3 days. We then called Mr. Rooter. Corey B. came and did a great job. Made short work of our clog and was very friendly. I got to ask him a few plumbing questions at the same time. He was quick, professional and very friendly. Next time we hire Mr. Rooter we will ask for Corey personally.As far as the company, we called at 9 am and the work done the same day around 2:30pm. It was great having it done on the same day.
My kitchen sink was severely clogged. I called several companies to try and get someone quickly. Mr. Rooter answered quickly and were able to give me a 2 hour window for the technician where as other places gave 5 hour windows. The job was not an easy one as we learned but tech Will C was on it. He was on time, professional, personable and most importantly skilled. I am very impressed with our first experience with this company and will definitely use their services again if required.
