If your child watched Give'er you'll be familiar with the building of the playground here representing Canada's provinces and territories. Lots of play options for a range of ages and enough space for kids to not be on top of each other. Nice afternoon activity.

Mooney's Bay is beautiful. I especially like the park they build for Canada150, it's a lot of fun for people of all ages. It's a short walk to hogs back, and there are various trails from there. It's a great place to watch sunrise with someone special, or just take in nature. I love it here.

It's a nice place to lay down in the sun but I would much rather swim anywhere else because most of the water is dirty and has sea weed everywhere. In addition, the area that you can swim in is not very big.Mooney's Bay is a nice place to go to with your friends and family if you just want to play volleyball or just get a tan on the beach.Beyond the sand, there is a lot of grassy land, perfect for flying kites or just for kids to run around.

Had to answer an urgent page from my work place. Rather than being a distracted driver, I pulled over. The first available space was Mooney's Bay Park. I pull over, shut off car, pull out laptop and begin the process answering the page. I did not leave the vehicle. I shut off vehicle thinking a cop could bust me for distracted driving...pretty sure that's a thing. Bylaw pulls up and honks at me. I wave at the officer thinking nothing more of it...but he is sitting in his car, writing something. I roll down the window and ask him how his day is going."You can't park here, you are getting a ticket".????Anyway, the guy was logical enough to allow me to leave without a ticket but it was an unpleasant and stressful situation.

The park is so much fun for kids. But it is VERY busy and you have to pay for parking. The slides are VERY hot in the summer (metal and black plastic). The mulch is a great alternative to sand - love it!There is often a portion of the park that is "out of order". It gets very muddy in the spring and fall and after it rains.
